Costeffective formulation of bio-fertilizer using agricultural residues as carriers and determination of shelflife of bio-fertilizer inoculants

Traditionally, inorganic chemical-based fertilizers is used for soil management strategies, which can cause public health and environmental threats. Alternatively, bio-fertilizer be to increase the productivity sustainability of without causing pollution. The present study aimed cost-effectively produce using agricultural residues determine shelflife efficacy bioinoculants. We sterilized rice husk ash alluvial (1:2) prepare cost-effective carriers. Rhizobium sp., Azotobacter Trichoderma sp. were grown in a newly designed culture medium economic production as bio-inoculants. formulated was tested on small scale, where it significantly improved growth sponge gourd (Luffa aegyptiaca) plant (p<0.01). bio-fertilizers stored at room temperature one year. Initially, total viable count microorganisms 8.0×107 CFU/g bio-fertilizer. bio-inoculants increased after month (2.2×108 CFU/g) year (2.2×109 CFU/g). Rice might have supported survival bioinoculants under (25°C) because its nutrient retention capacity, adsorptive capability, high content silica.
